History

We started BFF Foundation after seeing firsthand how the rising cost of living was impacting families in our community—and how that pressure was making it harder for kids to participate in activities they love.

While working with local Cub Scout programs through Scouting America, we repeatedly ran into challenges. Costs were increasing, and there were limitations around when and how fundraising could take place. Even when people wanted to help, the system made it difficult to keep participation affordable.

As we looked closer, we realized this wasn’t just a scouting issue. Across sports, clubs, and youth programs, families everywhere are facing the same reality: as the cost of living rises, opportunities for kids are shrinking.

We created BFF Foundation with a simple mission—to raise funds that remove financial barriers and ensure every child has the opportunity to participate, grow, and belong.

To date, we have already raised over $3.000 to support youth participation—and we’re just getting started.

Because every kid deserves a chance to be part of something.

Organization Identity
Building Fantastic Futures Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization. Our EIN (Tax ID) is 39-5095027. We have received IRS determination as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3), meaning your donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. Documentation is available upon request.

Our mission is simple and powerful:

We believe every child deserves a chance to thrive. Our mission is to support youth programs throughout Kansas so that financial hardship never stands in the way of opportunity, growth, or belonging.

Through our programs, we focus on supporting youth development, access to resources, and building a sense of belonging. As a new organization, we are actively building partnerships and programs that directly impact children in our community. Updates, impact metrics, and annual summaries will be shared as we grow.

Financial Transparency
As we are in our first year of operation, we do not yet have an IRS Form 990 on file. Once available, it will be published here for full transparency.
Currently:

100% volunteer-led organization (no payroll expenses)
The majority of donations go directly toward program development and services for children
Administrative costs are kept minimal to maximize community impact

A full financial summary and annual report will be published at the end of our first fiscal year.

Legal & Regulatory Information
The State of Kansas does not require charitable registration for organizations that solicit less than $10,000 annually. As such, we are currently not required to register at the state level. We remain committed to complying with all applicable laws as we grow.

Donor Privacy & Data Protection
We respect your privacy. Any information collected from donors (such as name, email, and payment details) is used solely for processing donations, providing receipts, and communicating updates about our mission. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to securely process your donation.

Secure Giving
All electronic donations are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers (such as PayPal or similar platforms). These providers use industry-standard encryption and are PCI-compliant, ensuring your financial information is protected. Our website also uses secure HTTPS encryption for your safety.

Who we are

We’re not just supporters—we’re parents, leaders, and volunteers in youth programs.

We’ve stood on the sidelines, helped run meetings, organized events, and worked directly with kids and families. We’ve also seen the difficult moments—when rising costs force families to step back from activities their kids love.
