The Scouts will travel to:
Devils Tower National Monument
Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Crazy Horse Memorial
Yellowstone National Park
Yosemite National Park
Zion National Park
Grand Canyon National Park
During the expedition, Scouts will:
Camp all but one night of the trip
Cook their own meals
Complete multiple hikes and outdoor challenges
Work toward merit badges
Experience white water rafting
Learn about geology, wildlife, conservation, and American history
Build teamwork, leadership, and confidence
This is more than a trip — it is an educational outdoor leadership experience designed to help young people grow into capable and responsible adults.
There are 16 Scouts and leaders participating in this expedition at a cost of approximately $1,200 per participant.
The Scouts have already worked incredibly hard to reduce costs through fundraising efforts including:
Laundry soap sales
Flower seed sales
Pork rind sales
Pizza Ranch community nights
Bean feed fundraiser
Chicken noodle feed fundraiser
In addition, Building Fantastic Futures Foundation has already committed over $3,000 in direct support and fundraiser supplies.
Despite these efforts, additional community support is needed to help cover:
Transportation expenses
Camping fees
Food and supplies
Activity costs
Educational experiences
Outdoor equipment and trip necessities
Helps ensure every Scout can participate regardless of financial hardship
Donations to Building Fantastic Futures Foundation support youth leadership development, outdoor education, camping experiences, and participation opportunities for members of Scout Troop 4328.
Funds are administered by the foundation in support of its charitable mission to ensure youth have access to meaningful educational and developmental experiences.
